Core Managed is looking for someone that has the desire to join a fast-growing company.
vCIO means something different at various technology companies. 

At Core Managed this role executes on all proactive client strategy activities, including quarterly technology assessments, development of IT budgets, business IT process reviews, and vendor management. 

Most importantly, there are no sales objectives and our vCIO compensation is not variable.

Skills Required:

Having worked within an issue tracking (ticketing) system in the past. Experience with ConnectWise Manage and/or HubSpot CRM is a strong plus.

  • Develop expertise in client-specific industries and provide guidance on best practices
  • Develop strong trust-based relationships with key client contacts, built from a consistent cadence of interactions. 
  • Execute on internal plans to increase clients’ alignment to our client standards 
  • Develop and scope client existing project quotes 
  • Perform sales engineering in tandem with sales team for new client leads (managed services, projects, etc.) 
  • Coordinate with project manager and service team on client projects 
  • Own the client relationship (retention/renewals) and overall direction of the client’s IT environment
  • Contribute to the perpetual enhancement of internal documentation frameworks and standard operating procedures 
Required Habits:
  • Ability to relate to clients and speak to non-technical end users
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Great writing skills for end-user communication as well as documentation of actions
  • Being willing to follow written process
  • Understand basic troubleshooting (cause/effect, following-the-chain) when there is no process
  • Team player, ready to dive into a diverse team of talented people

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; associate degree required
  • Experience at a Managed Service Provider or other outsourced IT firm highly desired.
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Pass a drug test and background check
